Abstract

The Holy Qur'an is definite proof (قطعی الثبوت), while some of the Ahadiths of the Prophet are definite proof (قطعی الثبوت) and some are doubtful proof (ظنی الثبوت), but the outcome of the proven Sunnah is as proved as the outcome of the Holy Qur'an, command [Al-Hashr: 7] Allah Almighty said accept what the Holy Prophet of Allahﷺ gives you and refrain from what he forbids you. And the Holy Prophetﷺ said: Beware, I have been given the Holy Qur'an and something like it.

Because Hazrat Ayesha ﷞ was very close to the Holy Prophet  ﷺ, most of the Companions of prophetﷺ used to approach her for many affairs, education or understanding, jurisprudence, or any fatwa, in most cases Sahabah (صحابہ) Y came to her. There is no doubt that Hazrat Ayesha ﷞ played a great role in narrating and disseminating the Sunnah, and on the basis of this knowledge, she criticized the narrations of Hazrat Umar bin al-Khattab T and his son Abdullah T and other glorious Companions of the prophet ﷺ the number of which does not reach fifty ahadiths without repetition.

The Ahadiths of the Prophet ﷺ are some authentic (صحیح) and good (حسن), while some are weak (ضعیف) and fabricated (موضوع), and some of  them seem to contradict each other, which the enemies of Islam try to cast doubt on, and some of them say bad words about companions of prophet  ﷺ who are the source and foundation of Islam, while the scholars have devoted their lives to defending the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, and they have laid down such rules and regulations for it Among these scholars, the first rank belongs to the Companions of prophet Y, then to the great followers, and then to the muhaddiseen (محدثین) of the jurists (فقہاء).

In this article, we will look at the position and status of Hazrat Ayesha ﷞ in terms of criticism of the Companions of prophet Y , and we will compare and criticize this criticism with the criticism of Muhaddiseen and rationalists so that the motives of each can be clarified.
