Abstract

Every religion of the world has some rituals, traditions, rules, principles, and regulations. The followers of these religions should follow these rituals to show their commitment. When we have a deep study of revealed religions Judaism, Christianity, and Islam we find the significance and ritual of Fasting are common in all three. The main purpose of this article is to compare the meaning and importance of fasting in revealed religions. When we have a deep study of these religions, we find that fasting is an essential part of these religions on different occasions and different days of the year. However, fasting is the best way to repentance, patience, and individual thanks to God Almighty.
