Abstract

The Holy Quran has been served by Muslim scholars in different ways; like translation, glossography (tafseer), irab, qiraat etc. It always remained an honor for any Muslim person to contribute in explanation of the Holy Quran. So our libraries have a huge collection of books about the Holy Quran and it is increasing day by day. A beautiful book named “Al Quran Tadabbur wa Amal” was added to this collection in 2014. This book is not written by any one author but it contains beautiful points collected from 16 authentic books of tafseer. It is a totally different way of explanation of The Holy Quran. The specialty of this book is that it insists the reader to think deeply about the meanings of the Holy Quran and to act upon it.

Purpose of the Holy Quran is not to recite it only but it is also to meditate and ponder over it. Allah says: "كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ"([i]) Our other responsibility is to act upon the sayings of the  Holy Quran. This book also motivates the reader to start acting upon the teachings of Holy Quran. This article provides an analytical study about this book that will attract readers towards the book and help them to understand it. This book is highly recommended to be taught at bachelor and master level in colleges and universities.
