Abstract

Sikhism has highlighted the importance of establishing a human society in which all human beings have equal rightsand the social evils could be eradicated from the society. The Sikh Gurus have described the evil rituals prevalent in the society and described their abomination and ugly rituals are considered a menace to Sikh society.Guru Nanak has expressed disgust with the outdated rituals of Hindu society. Sikhism recognizes the importance of women’s education in building a happy and healthy society which proves to be beneficial in their practical life.Guru Nanak and other Gurus were against the caste system. They have declared that the standard of honor and dignity is not caste but good deeds.These effects on the Sikh religion have been made possible by the comprehensive and unique teachings of Islam.
