Abstract

The stories of the prophets narrated in the Qurʾān prominently highlight political wisdom, principles of leadership and insights into governance. These accounts not only describe the political issues and challenges of the past but also embed principles for establishing a virtuous society and a just system, offering practical guidance that remains relevant to our lives today. In today’s world, where systems of governance and politics face numerous challenges, these Qurʾānic stories provide guidance on how leadership can be established on principles of justice, wisdom and public welfare. The political ideas of the prophets remind us that a virtuous and just society is one where justice prevails, public welfare is prioritized, and rulers view public trust and service as their duty. Thus, the political ideas within the Quranic stories serve not only as exemplary models but also offer practical guidance for improving today’s political systems and establishing a fair society.
